F42650-02-R-AAAD A&E IDIQ 24 SEP 2002 CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR: LINDA ELLIS, OO-ALC/PKOE, 801-777-9506 AMENDMENT TO SYNOPSIS QUESTIONS FROM CONTRACTOR ON A&E SOLICITATION 1. What types of projects are on the board at HAFB for complete under this contract? Perhaps you or someone else may have some additional information in that regard? Response: The types of projects are described in the solicitation. : (1) Alteration and repair of grounds, roads, buildings and structures; (2) Alteration and repair of utilities; (3) Alteration and repair of various types of mechanical systems to include HVAC and associated controls, fire protection, steam plants, steam distribution and piping, waste treatment, and other mechanical systems; (4) Alteration and repair of various types of lighting and power distribution systems; (5) Feasibility, traffic and other studies. (6) Conceptual renderings. (7) Topographical and Geodetic Surveys. Project Construction Budgets generally run form $150,000 to $600,000 with occasional project $1,000,000 average project budget is around $300,000. 2. Does HAFB plan to have interviews after the proposals are received? If so, when are interviews expected, how long will they be, and so forth? Response: There will be two board meetings held, a pre-selection board and a selection board. Interviews will be conducted by phone and only with those firms chosen in the initial round by the pre-selection board. 3. Who are the members of the selection committee, if you can say? Response: This information is sensitive. 4. Does the Region 8 firm requirement preclude use of personnel from outside Region 8? How strong is the preference for Region 8 personnel? Response: Region 8 is a firm requirement and does apply to all consultants as well as prime contractors. 5. Is the funding for this Solicitation "MIL-CON" or Base funds (O & M)? Response: Base funds only. No MIL-CON 6. Where do we find the "electronic procedures" on the HAFB web site, or does this just refer to the electronic formats used by HAFB? Response: The web site is http://www.eps.gov/. Click on FedBizOps for Venders. 7. What is the anticipated contract award date? Will the one-year contract term run from that date or from some other date? Response: There is no set date. Award approximately February 2003. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (26-SEP-2002). IT ACTUALLY FIRST APPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 27-SEP-2002.
