- NA Construct harbor improvements at St Paul, Alaska, which include: dredging approximately 465,000CY from the existing entrance channel, maneuvering basin, and the channel between the harbor and the Salt Lagoon, construct rock sills and toe protection (26,000 CY mostly Gov?t furnished base and sill rock) at the seaward toe of the existing main breakwater, construct a 150-foot long rubblemound breakwater in the existing harbor, construct an island (spending beach) inside the existing harbor out of dredged materi al and rock (approximately 40,000CY and 10,000CY respectively), and other miscellaneous dock, dredging and rock work in the harbor. Government furnished rock is stockpiled on St Paul Island at the existing quarry and adjacent to the harbor. Dredged materia l disposal sites include an offshore site north of the Island 12 miles from the harbor (primary disposal) area, and uplands sites on the Island within 5 miles of the harbor (secondary).
