Description
The Forest Services is seeking proposals for planting Government-furnished tree seedlings on the Naches, Cle Elum, Lake Wenatchee/Leavenworth, Entiat and Clelan Rnager Districts of the Okanogan and Wenatchee National Forest. No site visit is scheduled. It is strongly urged that contractors visit the sites prior to snow-fall and season road closure which is estimated to be during the first week in November. A three year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity firm fixed priced, performance based service contract will be awarded. Task orders may be placed from date of contract award until September 30, 2005. Tree planting generally starts about the first part of April for each season. This contract requires Contractor self-inspection based on the quality assurance plan. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, except those designated as Government-furnished, and incidentals to perform all work specified. Planting methods may be auger or hoe planting. Contractor shall conduct self-inspection in accordance with an accepted quality assurance plan. Typical stock types to be planted: primarily 1-0 plugs, 2-0 plugs and plug-1s; 1-0 br, 2-0 br, 1-1 br seedlings may also be planted. Future task orders will be based on a matrix planting difficulty levels, therefore, it is very important that Contractors review initial project units with designated planting difficulty levels to formulate viable out year pricing. Tree planting season is estimated to be performed at various times from March 15th to October 30th, with the majority of the work to be completed in the spring and late fall months of the season. Actual performance time is environment dependant. Washington State Farm Labor License and Migrant Seasonal Protection Registration required.
