Description
The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspections Service (APHIS), Plant and Protection Quarantine (PPQ), Frederick, MD, intends to procure the following: 42 Lecia Microscopes (Compound Advanced, 4x,10x,40x,100x, E2 achromatic objectives, abbe condenser); 8 Lecia Zoom 2000 Stereomicroscopes (10.5x-45x magnification, 15x wide field eyepieces with manual); 42 Bulbs (20W, 12V Tungsten Halogen Lamps); 8 Bulbs (15W Tungsten Bulbs, for Zoom 2000 transmitted illumination, 120V); 8 Bulbs(15W Halogen Replacement Bulb, 6V Zoom 2000 Reflected Illumination), Brand Name or Equal. NAICS 334516 Code . This is a firm fixed price contract. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-09. Applicable FAR clauses are incorporated by reference: Prompt Payment 52.249-1 (4/84); Changes--Fixed price 52.243-1 (8/87); Small Disadvantaged Business Concert 52.219-1; Notice of price Evaluations preference for HUB Zone Small Business Concern 52.219-4; Instruction to Offerers - Commercial Items 52.212-1 (10/00); Evaluation-Commercial items 52.212-2 (10/97); Offerer Representations and Certifications 52.212-3 (10/98); Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items 52.212-4 (4/98); Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items 52.212-5(10/98); Brand Name or Equal 52.211-6 (8/99). ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A QUOTATION FOR CONSIDERATION. Award will be made to the lowest technically acceptable priced responsive responsible offerer. Proposals are due by Monday, September 30, 2002 11:00 AM CST.
