- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) is DLV20402 and incorporates provisions and clauses through FAC 2001-08. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The NAICS/Code is 235990/$12.0M. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) is in need of the following items: 1) Doors, Six (6) pairs, 16 gauge hollow metal steel w/reinforced top and bottom, each door will have a clear safety glass that will match existing size & location, and doors to be made to fit existing opening; 2) #011S-14 Stanley Pneumatic Operator w/emergency release, Six (6) each; 3) Retractable Top Pivot Assembly, Twelve (12) each; 4) Bottom Door Pivot, Twelve (12) each; and 7) Motion Sensors, Seven (7) each. Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, materials, and supervision for removal of old doors and installation of six (6) new doors and six (6) pneumatic operators. The Operators must match existing Stanley Operator. Contractors are encouraged to attend the Site Visit which is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at 10:00 am at the NIEHS, Bldg. 101-Lobby, 111 TW Alexander Dr., Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. Delivery of requested items and performance of work is to take place at NIEHS, Bldg. 101, 111 T.W. Alexander Dr., Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. Offeror should quote FOB Destination. The following provision applies to this acquisition: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors. There are no additional addenda. FAR Clause 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provisions at 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification-Commercial with offers. FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The following paragraphs of 52.212-5 apply: (a) and (11)-(16)(21)(22)(25)(27) of (b). Defense Priorities and Allocations Systems (DPAS) does not apply. Offerors are due no later than 4:30 pm EDT, September 13, 2002 to Ms. Dee Lunney, NIEHS, Acquisitions Management Branch.
