Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items issued by the Contracting Office, Offutt AFB, NE and prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation number F5ACMG22580400 is being issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-07. All applicable provisions and clauses are included in the actual solicitation. This electronic announcement constitutes the only solicitation being issued. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The Government intends to issue a Sole Source purchase order to EnerSys, Inc., 2366 Bernville Road, Reading, PA 19605-9457 for (1) 3 EnerSys Inc. model number 188-DD85-23 batteries totaling 564 batteries and (2) 1 Lot, Supply all labor, materials and special tools to de-install, remove from site, and recycle old batteries per EPA guidelines and to install the new batteries. NAICS Code is 335911; this solicitation is being issued as unrestricted. Complete written quotations must be physically received by the 55 Contracting Squadron, 101 Washington Square, Offutt AFB by 27 September 2002 at 3:00 pm CST. NO PARTIAL AWARDS WILL BE MADE. Please acknowledge all requirements on quotations. Please indicate FOB destination on quote. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors?Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certification--Commercial Items, with the offer. The following clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items (April 2001) (Deviation) (which includes: FAR 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity (E.O. 11246); FAR 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam Era Veterans (38 U.S.C. 4212); FAR 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers (29 U.S.C. 793); FAR 52.222-41, Service Contract Act of 1965, As Amended (41 U.S.C. 351, et seq.) (Applicable to Service Contracts only); FAR 52.222-42, Statement of Equivalent Rates for Federal Hires (29 U.S.C. 206 and 41 U.S.C. 351, et seq.) (Applicable to Service Contracts only), FAR 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer?Central Contractor Registration. The following are also applicable to this acquisition, DFAR 252.204-7004, Required Central Contracting Registration, DFAR 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items, DFAR 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payment Program (41 U.S.C. 10, E.O. 10582) is applicable to this acquisition as well. The clause at DFAR 252.204-7004 Required Central Contracting Registration applies to this and all future acquisitions. Contractors must have an active CCR Registration by 27 September 2002 at 3:00 p.m. CST to be eligible for award. Offers are due by 27 September 2002 at 3:00pm CST.
