- Description
- Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for system support and maintenance for a Smartnet Trunking System to Motorola, Inc., 7230 Parkway, Hanover, MD 21076. The Smartnet Trunking System is needed to provide logistical support needed to maintain Offutt?s radio network. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because Motorola Inc. manufactured the equipment, and if anyone other than a Motorola Service Representative performed maintenance on the equipment it could cause major system failure and could void any existing warranties. The procurement of this system support and maintenance for the Smartnet Trunking System in a timely manner is essential to meet mission requirements. Questions should be directed to Tiffany L.
