- Provide elevator maintenance and repair services at various federally owned buildings throughout the Washington, DC, metropolitan area. The contractor shall perform maintenance services during each inspection to ensure reliable and continuous safe operation. The maintenance work shall be in accordance with commercial practices or manufacturer's specifications, if available, and shall be intended to maintain the elevators in safe and reliable operating condition until the next scheduled maintenance. The period of performance for this contract is for a base period of 1 year with 4-1 year options. The total performance period will not exceed five years. Services are expected to commence on or about October 1, 2002. Procurement made using a Firm Fixed Price with economic price adjustment for award. The NAICS Code is 235950. The solicitation will be posted on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) website at http://eps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation as well as all amendments will not be issued. Any prospective offeror interested in proposing on this solicitation must register with GSA in order to be placed on the bidder's list for this solicitation. Include your company name, address, phone and fax numbers, points of contact, and e-mail address. You must send this information by fax at (202) 273-0924 or email Meta.Edwards@gsa.gov. Proposals are due by August 30, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. local time. A pre-proposal conference shall be held at the General Services Administration, Regional Office Building, Room 2770, Conference Room 8, Washington, DC, at 10:00 am, Monday, August 12, 2002. Site visits for each building will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2002 is as follows. National Courts Complex 9:00 a.m., U. S. Courthouse 12:00 p.m. and Tax Court 1:00 pm.
