- Description
- The Bureau of Printing and Engraving is seeking qualified sources of suppply for automated equipment to inspect and trim United States currency. Attached to this RFI are files for the Government's system requirements, various questions that the Government would like to have answered by companies responding to this RFI, and a diagram showing the currency sheet trimming dimensions. Request that you review the information provided and provide as much detail as possible for Government evaluation. This is not a procurement action and there will not be an award of a contract or purchase order resulting from any pricing submitted. As such, the Government will not pay any bid and proposal expenses generated as a result of responding to this notice. However, receipt and review of information from your firm will inform the Government of the capabilities exisitng in the marketplace for equipment and systems of this type, and will assist the Government in forming its requirements for potential future procurements. Responses must be submitted either in writing to the address noted in this announcement, or by e-mail to george.robertson@bep.treas.gov by not later than 3 pm EST time, Monday, October 21. If sent by e-mail, any files need to be in Microsoft Office format; Adobe Acrobat files of version 5.0 can also be handled. If hand-carried, your information can only be received at the employee entrance at 13th and C Streets, SW, Washington, DC 20228. Do not leave information unattended with the police officers; call for pickup at 43255.
