- NA C: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposa l being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DABT51-02-R-0023 and is issued as a Request for Proposal. This RFP incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Num ber 97-19. The small business size standard for SIC code 3449 is 500 employees and the NAICS code is 332439. Item requested is an ISU ?90, Insulated Slingable Unit (6 each), part number 56102, forest green color, with the following capabilities, two-way forkliftable with standard 10,000 lb. fork trucks; completely intermodal; certified for helicopter external lift and transport on air mobility command transport aircraft and provides weather resistant storage and transport of equipment and supplies. Featu res are as follows: size is 108? x 88? x 90?; 10,000 lb. capacity; max. tare weight is 1720 lbs; 396 usable cubic feet, military and commercial airlift compatible, double doors open on both 108? sides; adjustable shelves with 750 lb. capacity and is light weight and durable. The intent is to purchase these items from AAR Manufacturing, Inc. (DBA: AAR Mobility Systems) 201 Haynes Street, PO Box 550, Cadillac, Michigan 49601-1103, phone 1-800-355-2015. All offers of equivalent fit, form, and function will be considered by the agency. Delivery required by 30 November 2002. Delivery to 32nd AAMDC, Building 1056, 32ND AAMDC Motorpool, Fort Bliss, Texas 79916. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation; 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.214-21, Descriptive Literature; 52-212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (Evaluation factors being price, delivery, past performance a nd ability to meet Government requirements with each being equally considered in the evaluation process); 52-212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items; 52-212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items:; 52-212-5, Contract Te rms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items. The following Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation: 252.225-7000, Buy American Act?Balance of Payments Program Certificate, 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications?Commercial Items, 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration, 252.225-7017, Prohibition on Award to Companies Owned by the People?s Republic of China. Copy of provisions and clauses are available on the Internet at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. Qualifying offers will meet the stated specifications and be accompanied by completed provisions/clauses 52.212-3, 252.225-7000 and 252.212-7000. Offerors must have a valid DUNS number (1-800-333-0505) and registered with Central Contractor Registration. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and will be most advantageou s to the Government.
