- KITCHEN HOODS AND DUCT CLEANING. 1) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. 2) Solicitation F65501-02-T0319 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). 3) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-08. 4) This solicitation is a 100% set-aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 561720; Size standard: $14,000,000. 5) DESCRIPTION: The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment and labor necessary to ensure that hood and duct services are performed at Elmendorf AFB and Seward, Alaska and in accordance with all NFPA guidelines. This contract will be for a base year and 4 option years. Estimated work load is as follows. a)General inspection; testing and maintaining hood and duct systems: 29 units total. b)Monthly cleaning service. Systems using solid cooking fuels or 24 hour high volume frying, char broiling, or oriental cooking: 10 systems. c)Quarterly cleaning service. High volumes of fast food frying, char broiling, or oriental cooking: 3 systems. d)Semi-annual cleaning service. Normal volumes of commercial cooking of baking: 11 systems. e)Annual cleaning service. Systems using low vapor-producing cooking (pizza ovens, steam tables, etc.): 1 system. f)Seasonal cleaning service. Systems using low vapor cooking located in Seward: 4 systems. g)Estimated repair service calls annually: 5 calls. For complete Statement of Work and Bid Schedule, please contact SSgt Dante X. There is a remote site that requires cleaning of two units in Seward, AK once a year. 8) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Wage determination 1994-2017 revision 27 is hereby incorporated into this solicitation. 9) This solicitation incorporates 52.212-2, Evaluation of Commercial Items. Award will be based on lowest priced/technically acceptable offer, inclusive of option years. The government reserves the right to make award on the initial quote received without discussions. 10) Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items with Alternate 1 with the offer.
