- The purpose of this modification is to correct the part number. The correct part number should be P/N: 9340M47G03. NSN: 2840-01-466-6236PR P/N: 9340M47G09 Noun: Fan Frame Adapter Item Description: The fan frame adapter is an integrated part of the accessory gearbox, which acts as a seal between the gearbox and fan frame. Its function is to serve as a mounting pad for a bearing that fits on the radial drive shaft. Dimensions vary. The adapter is a flange type adapter approximately 7 inches across, 0.28 ? 0.30 inch thick. The material consists of AMS 4418. Applicable to: F110/100 Engine Destination: FB2039 Delivery: February 2004 Best Estimated Qty: 117 Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 7 October 2002. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 8 November 2002. The anticipated award date will be 20 December 2002. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation.
