Description
This is a requirement for Repair. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish the repair, test, packing, preservation and packaging of the C-135 Sleeve and Slide Assemblies. A firm fixed price Requirements type contract is contemplated. The contract period will be one year with four one-year options. The items and quantities are as follows: Item 0001: Repair NSN 4810-00-348-6334HS; P/N: 50745; Noun: Sleeve and Slide Assembly; Applicable to C-135 aircraft; Basic Year Quantity: 11 each; Option I Quantity: 11 each; Option II Quantity: 11 each; Option III Quantity: 11 each; Option IV Quantity: 11 each. Item 0002: Repair NSN 4810-00-348-6335HS; P/N: 50746; Noun: Sleeve and Slide Assembly; Applicable to C-135 aircraft; Basic Year Quantity: 7 each; Option I Quantity: 7 each; Option II Quantity: 7 each; Option III Quantity: 7 each; Option IV Quantity: 7 each. Item 0003: Over and Above Work; Item 0004: Data IAW DD1423s. Deliveries are to be in accordance with instructions received from the Production Management Specialist prior to shipment. Qualification requirements apply. The approximate solicitation issue date will be 11 Oct 02. NOTE: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
