- This is a combined synopsis solicitation notice for a commercial service, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This procurement is restricted to 100% small business concerns. Request For Quote on the following service: Item 1: Weekly fish tank cleaning service for a one-year period 1 Oct 02 ? 30 Sep 02. There are a total of five fish tanks: 3ea, 125 gallon fresh water; 1ea, 190 gallon fresh water; and 1ea 125 gallon saltwater tank. Statement of work: The weekly service includes scrubbing, vacuuming, changing water to maintain quality and appearance. The decorations, gravel, display, etc. will be cleaned, bleached and changed on a monthly basis to maintain a high level of appearance. Tanks life support equipment, including lights, air pumps, feeders etc. will be inspected for operational efficiency on each visit. Adequate supply of available food must be ensured. The contractor?s staff must be on call 24 hours a day for emergencies. Contractor?s personnel shall present themselves in a neat appearance and be easily recognized. This may be accomplished by wearing distinctive clothing bearing the name of the company or by wearing a nametag with the company?s name imprinted. The contractor?s will normally schedule routine visits for Monday through Friday between 2:00 P.M. and 5:00 PM. When these hours are inconvenient, the contractor will contact the supervisor and schedule a time of convenience for both parties. The contractor is not required to schedule work on Federal Holidays. The contractor will provide all labor, tools, parts, materials and transportation necessary to perform the above stated services. Item 2: Cost per hour for emergency calls. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-08, NAICS is 453910. Note that 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. In addition the clause at 52.212-5, Contract terms and conditions required to implement Statutes or executive orders - Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. Specifically the following clauses cited are applicable: FAR 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity; FAR 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for special disabled and Vietnam Era Veterans; Far 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers and FAR 52.222.42 Equivalent Statement of Rate for Federal Hires; GS-2, $8.64 an hour and GS-3, $9.42 on hour. All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed in DFARS 252.204-7004 & 252.232-7009. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet or by calling 1-888-227-2423. The CCR number must be obtained before award can be made. Award will be based on meeting the requirement, evaluation of lowest price, and reasonable offer/quote.
