- Description
- Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for a Pacer Crag tabletop trainer simulator to Rockwell Collins, 400 Collins Road NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52498. The simulator is manufactured by Rockwell Collins and used to simulate flight operations of the Pacer Crag cockpit system. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement was made because the Pacer Crag simulator will be custom fabricated and is the only simulator available which will accurately simulate the Pacer Crag cockpit system, a system proprietary to Rockwell Collins. The procurement of this simulator in a timely manner is essential to meet mission requirements.
