- The U.S. Department of Justice intends to acquire, under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13-106-1 (b), Soliciting from a Single Source, the services of consultant Dee R. Edgeworth to provide expertise and assistance to Participate in Workgroup Meetings, Teach Model Basic Asset Forfeiture Training Course, Teach Asset Forfeiture Financial Investigations Seminars, Revise Basic Asset Forfeiture & Asset Forfeiture Financial Investigations Curricula, Revise Asset Forfeiture Financial Investigations Toolkit, Participate in Working Group Meetings. He is a nationally recognized authority on ConstitutionalProtections, Investigative Techniques, Strategical Use of Asset Forfeiture, and Ethics. He shall also participate in working group meetings to develop the Investigative Stops and Seizures module. His valued services are needed to develop case scenarios, policies, procedures, and training materials to support the module. Responses received as a result of this notice of intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as quotations. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based upon the written responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received at the address above by COB 09/27/2002.
