Description
NA This is to correct the error previous description and location of DACW51-02-B-0001 dated 20 September 2002. This is the official update as follows: THIS SOLICITATION IS FOR A TWO STEP SEALED BID. STEP ONE submittals have been received and have been eval uated. As a result of the evaluation, the following contractors have met the minimum requirements identified in the solicitation under STEP TWO procedures: 1) Don Jon Marine Co., Inc. and 2) Great Lake Dredge & Dock Company. No other bids will be accepte d for this project in accordance with the FAR 14.503-2. The US Army Corps of Engineers, New York intends to use the Two-Step Sealed Bidding method to award a contract for performance of maintenance dredging in the Flushing Bay and Creek, New York, Federal Navigation Project, with the disposal of the dredged material at a suitable upland placement site (s). The proposed maintenance dredging o f the Flushing Bay and Creek will require the removal and placement of approximately 45,000 CY of material, and p ossibly up to 230,000 C.Y. of material. All material is to be dredged to a depth of 15 ft deep (MLW) in the Flushing and Creek with 1 foot overdepth. The successful offeror will furnish all plant, labor, materials and equipment, sampling/testing and perfo rming all dredging, transportation, processing, preparation of any specified upland disposal sites, and placement of the dredged material at an approved/permitted upland disposal site. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Requests for documents ar e to be in writing and may be faxed to 212-264-3013, Attn: Jackie Daly. Solicitation packages will not be directly provided in a paper hard copy. Any request for hard copy of the documents must be in writing and instructions on how to obtain a copy will provided at that time. Only firms progressing to Step-Two and potential subcontract will received the Invitation of Bid (IFB) documents and be eligible for award. Award is subject to the availability of funds. Bids are due in (15) fifteen days from iss ued solicitation. The Step-Two solicitation will be available on or about 23 September 2002.
