Description
NA THIS SOLICITATION IS FOR A TWO STEP SEALED BID. STEP ONE submittals have been received and have been evaluated. As a result of the evaluation, the following contractors have met the minimum requirements identified in the solicitation under STEP TWO proce dures : 1) Don Jon Marine Co., Inc. and 2) Great Lake Dredge & Dock Company. No other bids will be accepted for this project in accordance with the FAR 14.503-2. The proposed maintenance dredging of the Arthur Kill Reach will required the removal and pla cement of approximately of 45,000 CY of material and possibly up to 200,000 CY of material. All material is to be dredged from the 35 ft. deep (MLW) section of the channel with a 1 ft. vertically applied over depth. The successful offeror will furnish a ll plant, labor, material and equipment, sampling/testing and performing all dredging, transportation, processing, preparation of any specified upland disposal sites, and placement of the dredged material at an approved/permitted upland disposal site. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Requests for documents are to be in writing and may be faxed to 212-264-3013, Attn: Jackie Daly. Solicitation packages will not be directly provided in a paper hard copy. Any request for hard copy of the doc uments must be in writing and instructions on how to obtain a copy will be provided at that time. Only firms progressing to Step-Two and subcontractor will received the Invitation of Bid (IFB) documents and be eligible for award. Award is subject to the availability of funds. Bids are due in (15) fifteen days from issued solicitation. The Step-Two solicitation will be available on or about 23 September 2002.
