- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in FAR Part 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ), F19650-02-Q-0013. This document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through FAC 2001-09 dated 30 Aug 02. The NAICS is 811212 and the Small Business Size Standard is $21.0 million. One clin will be issued and is described as follows: The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, parts, and transportation necessary to provide preventive and remedial maintenance and repair on the Silicon Graphic equipment located in Bldg 1607 at Hanscom AFB, MA. The contractor shall provide same day response between Monday through Friday 0900/1800 (local time); provide software and hardware support as needed, and provide Silicon Graphics software maintenance to include applicable updates, required patches and necessary media. The contractor will provide on-site coverage as needed. The contractor will provide technically trained personnel to restore hardware and software. Quote shall be priced on a monthly basis for 12 months for the Period of Performance: 01 Oct 02 through 30 Sep 03. The following clauses and provisions apply to this procurement: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (evaluation criteria is Price and Past Performance); FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (all offerors shall include a completed copy of this provision with their quotation); FAR 52.212-4, contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders-Commercial Items (in Paragraph (b) the following clauses apply: FAR 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52-232-33; FAR 52.222-48, Exemption from Application of Service Contract Act (AUG 96) (submitted with quote); DFARS 252,204-7004, and under 252.212-7001, the following clause applies 252-225-7001. Corley, Director, Commander's Staff, has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during proposal development. You should only contact the Ombudsman with issues or problems you cannot satisfactorily resolve with the program manager and/or contracting officer. The Ombudsman role is to hear concerns, issues, and recommendations and communicate these to the appropriate government personnel. The Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality if desired.
