- THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODIFICATOIN IS TO CANCEL THIS REQUEST AT THIS TIME. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), National Veterinary Services Laboratories, 1800 Dayton Avenue, Ames, IA 50010 intends to procure a steam genereator to run WR2 Digestor and a Dehydrator. The requirements are as follows: 1. One (1) 250 BHP steam generator/boiler with operating pressure of 150 psig. 2. Diesel #2 light oil and natural gas capable. 3. Iowa CSD-1 compliant (ASME code for controls and safety devices applicable to boilers-required by state of Iowa). 4. Componets to supply 7,000 pound capacity. 5. Also require manifold piping valves, makeup water controls/or feed tank and pump. 6. Include fuel tank and necessary pumping capacity and piping. NAICS Code 333999. Submit faxed quotations to "Purchasing Section," at (612-370-2136, attention Charlene Lambert. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE SEPTEMBER 20, 2002, BY 10:00 a.m local time. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only soliciation; quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICIATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-08.
