- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with FAR 13 with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation. A SEPARATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number N00181-02-Q-0698 applies and quotations are being requested. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-09 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement 1998 Ed. The applicable NAIC is 332919 with a small business size of 500 employees. FISC Norfolk/NNSY Annex intends to make a firm fixed price award for the following: Item 0001) Hose Assemblies, Qty 10 ea; Aeroquip P/N 2651-40 or AE 369 (or equal) w/Part# 44-412-40-40 adapaters (or equal) on each end. Each assy is to be 50 ft long and equipped with identical male NPT fittings on each end (Note: Cannot mix components of different mfrs). Hose shall be 2.38 in ID x 2.88 in OD w/max operating pressure of 350 PSIG. Hose shall be suitable for fresh water use. Construction shall be synthetic rubber tube, textile inner braid, textile outer braid with synthetic rubber cover. Each end shall be fitted with a screw together re-useable type hose fitting 2-1/2 in NPTH (dry seal)male pipe threads. Wetted portion (nipple) of fitting shall be bronze. Socket (nut) shall be brass or bronze. NOTE: All offers of materials other than those specifically specified by P/N herein, shall include specification data sufficient for complete evaluation. Failure to supply this information may render an offeror non-responsive. Item 0002) 2-1/2 inch Water Bleeder Connection, Qty 10 ea; Connection shall consist of the following components - 2-1/2 inch FNPT Bronze Tee, P/N WW P 460; Adapter 2-1/2 inch female hose swivel (ball bearing), 7-1/2 threads per inch x 2-1/2 inch male pipe thread 8 threads per inch, brass material, Service Brass P/N 72 w/ball bearing swivel; 2-1/2 inch hose gasket, P/N 5100-190; 2-1/2 inch MNPT x 1-1/2 inch NPT bushing, bronze material, P/N WW P 460; 1-1/2 inch MNPT x 1/2 inch NPT bushing, bronze material, P/N WW P 460; Faucet spigot, 1/2 inch MNPT x 3/4 inch hose thread, brass material, NIBCO P/N 44U or HAMMOND P/N 2004; Adapter 2-1/2 inch MNPT x 2-1/2 inch male NH (7-1/2 inch thread per inch), brass material NOTE: Completed assembly shall be tested to 285 PSIG (+10/-0) for 30 minutes with clean, fresh water. NO LEAKS ALLOWED. A copy of the test report shall be furnished with the material. A DRAWING ILLUSTRATING THE ASSEMBLY OF ITEM IS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST; 3) Siamese Wye Hose Connection w/ball valve flow control, Qty 23 ea; Wye shall consist of the following: 4 inch inlet swivel ball bearing with 4 threads per inch (NH) x 2 each 2-1/2 inch male hose 7 threads per inch (NH), copper alloy material; Adapter 2-1/2 inch female hose swivel (ball bearing 7-1/2 threads per inch) x 2-1/2 inch male pipe thread (8 threads per inch), brass material; Ball valve, Description: 1.size 2-1/2 inch female NPT, bronze body and 316 CRES ball, 600#, 2. Straight through design, 3. Teflon seats, 4. Lever controlled with locking device, 5. Full port; Adapter 2-1/2 inch male pipe thread (8 threads per inch) x 2-1/2 inch male (NH) thread (7-1/2 threads per inch), brass material. NOTE: Completed assembly shall be tested to 285 PSIG (+10/-0) for 30 minutes with clean fresh water. NO LEAKS ALLOWED. A copy of the test report shall be furnished with the material. A DRAWING ILLUSTRATING THE ASSEMBLY OF ITEM IS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. Delivery shall be FOB destination, NNSY,Receiving Officer, B276, Ports, VA 23709.Inspection/acceptance at destination. DFARS 252.204-7004 REQUIRED CENTRAL REGISTRATION applies. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror/quoter INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. Info can be obtained through Internet @ http://www.ccr.gov. FAR 52.212-1, 52-212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5 (52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37 invoked), ADDENDA: DFAR 252.212-7001 W/252.225-7001 applies. A COMPLETED CERTIFICATION AS REQUIRED BY FAR 52.212-3 SHALL ACCOMPANY ALL RESPONSES TO THIS SOLICITATION. Offers shall be evaluated for fair and reasonable prices, technical acceptability, adherence to applicable clauses, provisions, required delivery and satisfactory past performance record. Navy's RED-YELLOW-GREEN Program shall be utilized in the performance of determining past performance record of offerors. Parties responding to this solicitation may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. company letterhead, formal quote form, etc) but must include the following information: 1)Complete mailing/remittance address; 2)prompt payment discount; 3)anticipated delivery; 4)Taxpayer ID number; 5) All completed certifications as required herein. All quotations must be received NLT 3:30 PM local time, September 25, 2002.
