Description
The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) has a requirement for a filter sun screen to be fabricated, delivered, and installed by the Vendor at the Nogales International Wastewater Treatment Plan, 865 Rio Rico Industrial Park, Rio Rico, Arizona 85648. The fabric shall be a flame retardant, self-extinguishing, PVC-coated, woven polyester mesh having a seven (7) by twelve (12) weave. The fabric shall have a minimum shade factor of seventy three (73) percent and a minimum weight of sixteen (16) ounces per square yard. The fabric shall have the imprint of the States Fire Marshall's seal for registered flame-retardant material or the contractor shall provide a document from the State Fire Marshall indicating that the fabric meets the minimum state requirements. Individual pieces of fabric shall be approximately larger than ten (10) feet by twenty-five (25) feet. The edges of the fabric shall be reinforced with three thickness of material sewn around a 3/16-inch polyester rope or two-inch nylon cord and shall be fitted with brass grommets at 8-inch centers. The fabric shall be designed for fastening, in a manner consistent with industry standards, to an existing steel support structure. The Vendor is also to provide the material associated with fastening the fabric to the support structure. The sunscreen is to be delivered and installed within thirty (30) calendar days after contract award. Estimated issuance date of RFQ IBM02Q0012 is August 5, 2002 and responses are to be received by 4:00 PM local time on August 28, 2002. Requests must include business name, point of contact, address, telephone number (include area code), and RFQ number. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 314912. The applicable small business size standard is 500 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 3810.
