- The 99th Contracting Squadron, Nellis AFB, NV is soliciting offers purchase of load out bags. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F26600-02-Q-B065 and will be issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This acquisition is set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 316199 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. There will be one contract line item. Line Item 0001 will be for one hundred and fifty (150) load out bags/OR APPROVED EQUAL. The bag will be constructed of #1000 Denier cordura nylon heavy duty construction. It will have a top loading access flap secured by YKK zippers and two (2) security straps. The bag will have a spacious main cargo compartment, large expanding pockets on the outside ends of the bag, and three (3) additional medium sized pockets located on the side of the bag. The bag should have two heavy duty shoulder straps to allow for carrying in a backpack configuration, a shoulder strap, and a sturdy strap handle on the top of the bag. Dimensions: External compartments are 1,100 cubic inches. The main compartment is 4,860 cubic inches. The total cubic inches for the entire bag is 5,960. Color: Olive Drab. This requirement is being procured and will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.
