- Description
- The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command Pacific in Alameda, CA, proposes to enter into an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the Drydock and Repair of its 41' Utility Boat Fleet in Northern California, Oregon and Washington. The planned IDIQ contract will have a base year and two option years; contractors will be invited to bid on either single or multiple lots. A proposed work list includes: Production Control, Gantt Bar Chart Provide; Gas Free Certification; Boat Transportation To The Contractor's Repair Facility; Boat Transportation From The Contractor's Facility; Fiberglass Lamination Repairs On Cabin Top; Miscellaneous Welding Repairs; Ultrasonic Measurement Of Hull Plating Thickness; Underwater Body Inspection; Appendages (Underwater) Air Test; Shell Plating Renewal & Skeg Realignment; Crack Repairs; Rubber Rubrail Renewal; Rubrail Stud Inspection And Renewal; Zinc Relocation; Repair Bilge Crack; Longitudinal Repairs; Shell Plating Renewal; Fuel Tank Cleaning; Gel Coat - Cabin Top Repairs; Stanchion Repair; Stern Tube (Shaft Log) Renewal And Alignment; Strut Assembly Renewal; Engineroom Hatch Repair; Hatch Renewal; Hole Repairs On The Hull; Weathertight Joiner Door Renewal; Engine Alignment; Engine Removal/Reinstallation; Fit And Face Coupling; Propeller Shafting Remove And Install; Stern Tube Cutlass Bearing Renewals; Strut Cutlass Bearing Renewals; Engine Exhaust To Exhaust Flange Piping Alignment And Installation; Exhaust Pipe Repairs; Mast Junction Box Modification; Fathometer Transducer Renewal; Horn Replacement; Engine Room Escape Scuttle Drain Installation; Hydraulic Steering System Installation (Boatalt 101); Port Or Starboard Rudder Bearing Renewal; Anchor Line Stowage Cage Renewal; Freeboard Paint Removal; Non-Skid Deck Pad Installation; Paint Removal; Underwater Body Preservation (100% Epoxy); Underwater Body Preservation (Partial Epoxy); Freeboard Preservation; Engineroom Insulation And Sheathing Renewal; Insulation Renewal; Temporary Services, Haulout Provide; And Haulout. On or about 15 days from issuance of this notice, a Request for Proposals (RFP), will be issued, in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. Contractor's facilities must be located within 200 nautical miles of a boat's homeport to be considered responsive. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts, loans are available under the DOT short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rate to provide accounts receivable financing.
