Description
As part of its responsibilities under the Joint Base Operations Support Contract at Cape Canaveral Spaceport, Space Gateway Support, LLC (SGS) is planning major enhancements and upgrades to electronic security systems. SGS is, therefore, interested in receiving information on commercially available systems and equipment that may be used in integration of existing Spaceport electronic security systems and enhancement or augmentation of those systems. Generally, the requirements involve large, enterprise-level intrusion detection; personnel and information technology access control; video monitoring and processing; and vehicle and personnel tracking. Specific areas of interest include: (1) Consolidation of the Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Air Force Station electronic security systems, including intrusion detection systems, access control systems, and badging systems; (2) Centralized command and control of enterprise security with distributed viewing and query of alarm event information; (3) Support for single network logon incorporating strong authentication; (4) Alarm-based automatic paging and email; (5) Closed circuit television providing video with real-time linkage to alarms with hands off pre and post alarm video recording and playback; (6) Network-based video compression, distribution, and encryption technologies; (7) Common access card, smart card, and proximity card technology implementation with capability to support over 100 different facility categories for access control permissions per card holder; (8) Network access for mobile laptop and PDA devices to display data, video, and graphics; (9) Graphical tracking and display of vehicles or personnel: (10) Operator permissions which may be partioned by alarm or access control point; and (11) Capability for real-time interface with client's enrollment database. Vendors are requested to provide product literature, including capabilities, performance specifications, and/or user guides. Presentation or demonstration opportunities may be scheduled based on responses. Any presentation or demonstration will occur at the contractor's expense and SGS and the Government are under no obligation as a result of viewing the demonstrations. The decision to proceed with any subsequent solicitation or contract will be unilaterally determined by SGS and the Government.=20 Point of Contract: John Horan, Space Gateway Support, LLC., CIF Room 218E, M/S: SGS-009, Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899, (321) 867-2024, Fax: (321) 867-2409, john.horan@ksc.nasa.gov..
