- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a Sole Source, one year, Firm Fixed Price contract to SGI FEDERAL, 12200-G Plum Orchard Drive, Silver spring, MD 20904 under the authority of 10USC2304(c)(1) using the procedures of FAR Part 12 and 13 to obtain renewal of on-site Hardware and Software maintenance support as was provided under predecessor Silicon Graphics contract N66604-01-C-0028. We will issue a Request For Quotation to SGI FEDERAL on or about 25 SEP 2002 and the anticipated award date is 01 OCT 2002. A sole source is required because SGI FEDERAL will be maintaining their Full Care software licenses which include IRIX Operating Software, Advanced Server Environment, Performance Co-Pilot and React/Pro. All hardware repairs and software upgrades must be mechanically, physically, and electronically compatible with the existing SGI FEDERAL hardware and software without modifications. Replacement parts must be SGI FEDERAL OEM parts. Maintenance services include: 24 hour response time from Monday through Friday between the hours of 0800 and 1700; unlimited, toll-free telephone assistance 24/7; software enhancement and upgrade releases sent automatically; all parts, labor, travel, preventative maintenance and shipping charges will be included in the contract price, no additional charges shall be made against the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the government. Telephone requests will not be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NAICS: 541512.
