- Description
- The Acquisition Management Department, National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland on the behalf of the Laser Vision Center, Ophthalmology Department, intends to award a sole-sourced order to Visx, 3400 Central Expressway, Santa Clara, CA 95051-0703 for Key Cards. Visx in the only source that provide and design the key cards specifically used for the laser unit. The key cards are specially design and also impregnated with a microchip that can only operate the laser unit. Award will be made in the Form of a SF 1449 Commercial Purchase Order. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This item will be acquired utilizing the Federal Acquisition Regulation and contingent upon availability of FY03 Funding.
