- FISC Norfolk Naval Shipyard intends to procure on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302 under a firm fixed price contract, software updates and support services from AppWorx Corporation as described herein. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13.5 with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00181-02-Q-0701. The NAICS classification is 541519 with a small business standard of $21M. This acquisition is 100% Set aside for small business. Numbered note 22 applies. All deliverables shall be FOB Destination, NNSY, Portsmouth, VA 23709. Item description: Telephone maintenance and Premium support (7X24) for Sun Ultra 4000 - 4 cpu; Sun 100E - 4 cpu; Sun Enterprise 6000-16 cpu; sun Enterprise 2000E - 8 cpu; Sun Enterprise 6500 - 12 cpu; Sun Enterprise 4500 - 5 cpu. Services are for "OP" server located on the Sun 100E and Sun Ultra 4000 on site @ NNSY, Portsmouth, VA. Contractor shall respond to service requests within 24 hours of notification by the Government. Period of performance shall be established as 01 October 2002 through 30 September 2003. The following provisions and clauses apply to this solicitation and are incorporated by reference: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-4, 52.212-5 (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), (16), (24). Addenda: DFAR 252.212-7001 incorporating DFAR 252.225-7001; 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration. All responses must include a copy of the certifications/representations required by FAR 52.212-3. Parties responding to this Request for Quote may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. company letterhead, quote form, etc.) but must include the following: (1) complete mailing/remittance address(es); (2) prompt payment discounts (if applicable); (3) delivery schedule; (4) taxpayer id#; (5) all completed certifications and reps as required.
