- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires the services of a contractor to serve in the capacity of the Regional Medical Advisor (RMA). The RMA will serve as the lead or chief medical consultant contractor and is responsible for maintaining consistency and accuracy in the work of the regional medical consultants in terms of technical medical program issues and other areas. The RMA will also provide support to the Atlanta Regional Office and state agencies in their professional relations activities and will participate in the orientation and training of the regional medical consultant contractors. There will be no contact with patients. The services will be performed at the Social Security Administration Regional Office located in the Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Building, 61 Forsyth Street, SW, Atlanta, Georgia. This procurement will be for commercial services procured using the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12. The period of performance will be January 1, 2003 or date of award, whichever is later, through December 31, 2003, with provisions for four one-year options. The solicitation is scheduled for release on or about October 8, 2002. This requirement is a 100% small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 621111 and the size standard is $8.5M. Proposals received from other than small business concerns will be deemed unacceptable and will be given no further consideration. The solicitation (and any amendments) will be available for downloading on the Fed Biz Opps (FBO) web page at www.eps.gov on the solicitation release date.
