- Description
- Service contract for Tire retread/repair, pick-up and delivery and disposal of casings found unsuitable for retread/repair. These services are for Government-owned tires from II MEF Tire Change Facility located at Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune NC. These tires are used on tactical vehicles with on road maximum speed of 45mph and off road maximum speed of 25mph. The resultant contract award will be for a firm fixed price contract. This contract will be for a basic year plus four 1- year option periods. Anticipated line items and estimated quantities are: Item 0001 ? Retread Tires, Size 36 X 12.5R16.5 Bias ,300 each; ITEM 0002 - Retread Tires, size 37 X 12.5R16.5, Radial, 300 each; ITEM 0003 - Retread Tires, size 14.00R20 5-Ton, 100 each; ITEM 0004 - 16.00R21, LVS, 250 each, ITEM 0005 - Nail hole repairs, 30 each; ITEM 0006 - Section Repairs, 30 each; ITEM 0007 ? Dispos al of Tires, 600 each. Estimated quantities are the same for the four option periods. The proposed acquisition is a small business set aside. The standard North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) for this requirement is 326212 and the small business size standard is not to exceed 500 employees. The solicitation (RFQ# M67001-02-Q-0031) will be available for download free of charge via the Internet at www.neco.navy.mil. It is the responsibility of the offeror to continually view the website for any amendments to the solicitation. The solicitation will be available for viewing or downloading on or about 03 Oct 2002. Lack of registration in the database on the part of a contractor will make an offeror ineligible for award.
