- Description
- The Dahlgren Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, intends to purchase on a sole source basis one (1) each of A103 fan impeller and housing, and one (1) each of A102 fan impeller, high-pressure vaneaxial CPS Supply Fans from American Fan Company, 2933 Symmes Road, Fairfield, Ohio 45014. These items are necessary test models for future installation as part of the Shipboard Collective Protection Equipment Program (SCPE). The fans must comply with stringent airflow and noise level performance requirements as per the direction of MIL-PRF-24755A and design requirements. American Fan Company is the only known domestic manufacturer of these items and will provide them by the required delivery date of 31 July 2003. No other source is expected to acquire the special tooling needed, and manufacture the fans within this time constraint. The successes of the SCPE installations depend heavily on the timely performance of these fans within requirements.
