- This solicitation will be for the Regular Overhaul and Drydocking of the USNS OBSERVATION ISLAND. Major items include: Hull expansion joint repairs, exterior deck preservation, boiler fireside and waterside cleaning, boiler superheater eader and tubes renewal, switchboard cleaning, SSTG Turbine overhaul, contaminated oil handling modifications, automation groom and repairs, underwater hull and freeboard painting, sea valve repairs, and USCG/ABS inspections. Period of Performance: 2/5/03 through 4/5/03 (60-day availability)
