- Description
- The Acquisition Management Department, National Naval Medical Center on behalf of the Serology Laboratory, Laboratory Medicine Department, intends to award a sole-sourced standing order to Gen-Probe 10210 Genetic Center San Diego, CA 92121 for reagent test kits. Gen-Probe is the only source which screens and detects both Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae infections from patient specimens. Gen-Probe will provide the laboratory with the use of the following equipment: Leader 450I Luminometer, Magnetic Separation Unit, Bottle Top Dispenser, Eppendorf Pipettor and a Multiprobe 104 automated washer and dispenser. A copy of the solicitation may be viewed at www.neco.navy.mil. Award will be made in the form of a SF1449 commercial purchase order for the period 1 October 2002 through 30 September 2003. This acquisition is being conducted under the guidelines as set forth in the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Award will be contingent upon availability of FY03 funding. See Note 22.
