Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation R1-04-03-09 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text form at http://www.arnet.gov/far. This is a total small business set-aside and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The North American Industry Classification Code is 333922, Conveyor and Conveying Equipment Manufacturing. One contract will be awarded and will be firm fixed price. A quotation is requested for Item (1a) Bench Leg Base Section, 12 each and Item (1b) Table Top Rolling Units, 42 each. Provide materials and labor to construct and deliver rolling bench system. Bench leg and top shall be made with all metal materials made of 10 (ten) gauge 1/8 inch aluminum alloy and shall be fastened together with welds. Minimum weld of 2 inches every 2 feet where linear fastening of material is required. Ends of 2 linear fastened materials shall have welds. All connections where metal materials join or touch shall be welded at all surfaces. Because of the necessity to frequently move benches, an aluminum alloy material shall be used to reduce weight and ease in lifting and moving. Channel material shall be 1inch x 2inch x 1inch, 1/8inch thick. Square tubing shall be either 1.5inch x 1.5inch square or 2inch x 2inch square as specified. Government furnished roller bars will require close tolerances to drawing measurements. Drawings may be requested via fax at (208) 765-7229. Attached photos show detailed design of bench legs and tops. The Government will provide and fasten the roller bars to the benches when delivered. Drawings describe a typical 21 feet by 80 inch by 23inch bench leg design and a typical 6 feet by 9 feet bench top design. Three and one half (3.5), 6 feet by 9 feet bench tops shall be built for each 21 feet by 80 inch leg section. A typical bench section shall be made exactly the same so upon delivery to Nursery any 21 feet section can be connected to any other section and any 6 feet by 9 feet bench top can be placed on any bench legs and roll without obstructions or realignments. A typical 21 feet leg design including bench tops can be seen constructed as specified as the Coeur d Alene Nursery, located in Coeur d Alene, Idaho. All deliveries shall be made on regular working days (Monday through Friday) during normal business hours (7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), excluding official Federal Government Holdiays. Contractor shall notify the Coeur d Alene Nursery at (208) 765-7375 at least 24 hours prior to delivery. The contract award will be offered to the best value offer made made to the Government, considering past performance, technical capability and price. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. Offerors are required to complete and include a copy of the following provisions FAR 52.212-3, Offer Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items with their quotation. The FAR clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
