Description
This action was originally published in the CBD dated 11/13/01. Below is an updated status for SOL M/OP/02-026 - TASC 2. The United States AGENCY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (USAID) intends to make awards in the following three (3) areas: 1) Child Health, Maternal Health and Nutrition, Population, HIV/AIDS and Infectious Diseases; 2) Tuberculosis; and 3) Media/PR. USAID envisions seven (7) to twelve (12) total Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) awards. Of the seven (7) to twelve (12) awards, an estimated two (2) in Tuberculosis; an estimated two (2) in Media/PR; one (1) Child Health, Maternal Health and Nutrition, Population, HIV/AIDS and Infectious Diseases small business set-aside award; and one (1) Media/PR (8a) set-aside. Awards will be for a five year period each. The implementation timeframe for each of the three (3) areas will be indicated in the RFP. The purpose of this RFP is to establish a worldwide mechanism that supports USAID Missions and Bureaus in the implementation of their Strategic Objectives, pertaining to reduction of unintended and mistimed pregnancies, maternal mortality, infant and child mortality, HIV transmission, and the threat of infectious diseases. (Reference http://www.USAID.gov. Select "Health", select "Population", and then "Population Health and Nutrition Strategic Plan". ). TASC 2 will continue and expand the worldwide mechanism established by the first TASC IQC (TASC 1). TASC 2 shall provide cost-effective access to technical expertise and implementation support to meet evolving USAID needs. The overall goal of the TASC 2 Activity is to support Missions and Bureaus in achieving their strategic objectives by providing a source of long and short-term technical assistance, training and support to implement specified tasks in the areas of Child Health, Maternal Health and Nutrition, Population, HIV/AIDS and Infectious Diseases. The issuance date of the RFP is expected to be approximately 11/20/02. The closing date for submission of the proposals, to be specified in the RFP, will be approximately forty-five (45) days thereafter. The NAIC Code for this procurement is 541990, and the small business size standard is $5 million. Numbered/non-numbered notes do not apply.
