Description

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) BEP-02-39 for the purchase of a Currency Sheet Accountability System (CSAS) that will consist of Barcode printers, Scanners/Readers, Technical and Installation Advisory Support, and Technical Integration Software. The components of the CSAS must be of a type used in industrial and/or manufacturing environments. This is an unrestricted acquisition. The Simplified Acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13.5 shall be used. The BEP anticipates awarding a firm-fixed-price contract as a result of this RFQ. The applicable NAICS (formerly SIC) code is 421830 and is the associated small business size standard is 100 employees, see FAR 19.102. The RFQ number is BEP-02-39 and will be available for release on or about September 19, 2002. Requests may be sent via email to larry.mccain@bep.treas.gov.
