- NA Sole Source. The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with General Atomics Technologies, 3500 General Atomics Court, San Diego, CA 92121-1194. This sole source contract will be for a one-year period and will provide maintenance and customer support of a Real Time Robotics Inspection System. Pursuant to FAR Part 12 and 13 this acquisition will be issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for a Commercial Item. General A tomics Technologies is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and because the data relative to the required maintenance and support of this system is proprietary, only the OEM can provide this service. Interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capability to meet the Government requirement no later than 1:00 P.M. MST on September 24, 2002. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract ba sed upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22, with the exception that the time period for receipt of quotes for consideration is 8 days instead of 45 days.
