- Description
- The Great Lakes Acquisition Center intends to negotiate a sole source contract with AMFIT of Santa Clara CA to furnish and install an AMFIT Fabrication System (FOFS) and FOOTFAX for various locations in VISN12. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302- only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Equipment will include the complete FOFS system and the FOOTFAX Digitizer. Equipment will allow for a full contact digital cast of the plantar surface and casting of the foot while weight bearing and soft tissue anomalies are present. Equipment will allow Physicians to add prescriptions and to fabricate the required insoles on site. To the best of our knowledge, this patented contact digitizing technology is only available from AMFIT. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 9/23/02. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VAMC-GLAC, Building 5, 5000 W. National Ave. Bldg. 5, Milwaukee WI 53295 or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with AMFIT.
