Description
This is a Combined Synopsis/Request for Quotation for Commercial Services/Supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this Notice. This announcement constitutes the only Request For Quotations and incorporates Provisions and Clauses IAW the FAR/DFAR. This is a competitive procurement. Award will be based on BEST VALUE AND PAST PERFORMANCE OF BIDDER MEETING ALL SPECIFICATIONS. ALL OR NONE BASIS. IF CUSTOM WORK/SERVICE THEN SITE VISIT MUST BE MADE FREE OF CHARGE TO SURVEY JOB BEFORE QUOTING. AWARDEE MUST BE REGISTERED ON THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) ITEM 0001 MULT-MEDIA LECTERN PRESENTATION SYSTEM POC: B. WOOLRIDGE @ 757-444-4034; FAX 757-444-3081 INCLUDE SHIPPING CHARGES IF APPLICABLE. Closing Date of Quote is SEPTEMBER 27, 2002, 1700 HOURS (5:00PM) Eastern Standard Time. Facsimile Responses are preferred at 757-444-3081. Please include your TAX ID Number, Cage Code, DUNS Number and Buy American Act Certification, when submitting your quote. Quotes will not be accepted unless you are registered on the Contractors Central Register. MULTIMEDIA (MML) PRESENTATION SYSTEM INSTALLATION ATLANTIC FLEET HELICOPTER OPERATIONS SCHOOL, HELICOPTER COMBAT SUPPORT SQUADRON EIGHT 1340 CV TOW WAY ROAD, NAS Norfolk, Va. 23511-2296. The point of contact will be Lt. Jake Wrieden e-mail (jwrieden@nsn.cmar.navy.mil) and AME1 Ken Glover e-mail (kglover@nsn.cmar.navy.mil), phone numbers 757-445-2117/0437/0438 and DSN 565-2117/0437/0438 request installation for six electronic class rooms and one course-ware development computer system. The installation will be state-of-the-art integrating audio/visual into a multimedia Lectern presentation systems. Location for these systems will be four on the second floor of Building V29, and two on the second floor of LF-59, and the other CPU for syllabus courseware development. These systems are in support Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Eight Fleet Atlantic Operations School for LSE, HC0, HIGS NVG and are mission critical for aircrew training, briefing, and presentations all old systems will be upgraded with this installation. The Government Furnish audio/visual Equipment (GFE) integrated, with the contractor wiring, material, SB-580 Smart-boards, and programmed control switchers, will create a user friendly electronic state-of-the-art class room training module that is compatible with off the shelf courseware presentation system with the use of smart technologies. Each class room multimedia system will consist of the following devices, to fulfilled the requirements needed by HC-8: Dell Computer, 72" Smart Board, Custom Multimedia Lectern W/Laptop Pop-up connector, integrated controller switching system, Epson Hi-resolution LCD projector, document camera, S-VHS VTR player, DVD player and amplifier system for sound. The system must be especially engineered and programmed, causing/allowing all components to work together, integrating is controlled from the multimedia podium/lectern, and operating with the wall mounted speakers to create a surround sound environment, all controlled from a touch, wireless, crestron color control panel. Class Rooms Sizes: HC-8 Building LP89 Ward Room 18.5 Feet X 27.0 Feet HC-8 " " Trg Room 18.5 Feet X 22.0 Feet HC-8 Building V29 HIGS Class Rm. 21.0 Feet X 31.0 Feet HC-8 " " HCO Class Rm. 21.0 Feet X 31.0 Feet HC-8 " " LSE Class Rm. 26.0 Feet X 39.0 Feet HC-8 " " NVG Class Rm. 27.0 Feet X 30.0 Feet WHAT IS REQUIRED: 1. Building is designated as a historical landmark, for the Norfolk Naval Station. The installation contractor must follow all safety, architectural guidelines for this facility. 2. Remove the old Infocus 620 Projection system and set aside for HC-8 Supply Department to relocate or return to FASOTRAGRULANT for DRMO. 3. Remove and pull out all old wiring, before new project wiring is installed. 4. All ceiling wiring installed from and to LCD projector, speakers, video and audio installed must be pass through the conduit to the floor. 5. Connection between the multimedia Lectern to external devices (i.e. LCD projector, speakers) is to be configured so that the multimedia lectern can be relocated to another classroom. The connection between the multimedia lectern and the external devices is to be configured as a single plug and box mounted receptacle. The umbilical cord between the multimedia lectern and the wall mounted box receptacle containing the cables is to be encased in a nylon braided sheath and then terminated on one end to a Amphenol Standard Cylindrical Metal Shell CPC connector plug that will connect to the box mounted Amphenol CPC connector receptacle. 6. All other items can be engineered and programmed around a Crestron controller as contractor agreed. 7. The contractor must provide detailed wiring diagrams, Cads of each system, along with programming codes that will become the property of the government. The contractor will provide an operator?s manual for each room. 8. Protective covering for memory switches, and amplifier memory switch components. 9. Install ceiling outlets for Projectors in the required two classrooms. FASOTRAGRULANT will support the following government furnish equipment (GFE): (6) Epson EMP71C Powerlite LCD XGA High-resolutions, (6) JVC S-3900 S-VHS VTR Players, (6) JVC-XV-S300 DVD Players, (4) SamSung Document Cameras, (7) RF Gryro-Mouse, (7) Dell Computer System Model GX-150 with software licenses and (1) external removable hard Drive, and external Zip Dr. CONTRACTOR Will supply the SB-580 72 inches Smart Board, Custom Multimedia Lectern with Laptop pop-up Connector, JVC Amplifier with Speakers, and Crestron multimedia controller. All wiring diagrams, CAD material must be clear, programming codes and serial numbers will accompany each system by classroom, and will be turned over to FASOTRAGRULANT Training Aids Division for accountability.
