- Description
- The Naval Oceanographic Office intends to solicit and award, on an other than full and open competitive (sole source) basis, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, a purchase order to Klein Associates, Salem NH. The solicitation is NAICS 334511, Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing. Size standard of 750 employees. The purchase order type will be firm fixed priced. The requirement is for the testing, evaluation, and repair/refurbish/upgrade of one (1) Klein 5000 Towfish system, S/N 269. It will be necessary to replace/repair existing damage to the tow-body, starboard transducer, tow-fish power supply, nose cone, and tow-bracket and lifting handle of the old tow-body. Upon completition of all replacements/repairs, the tow-fish will be re-calibrated and tested as new. Contractor will test tow fish for proper operation in salt water, provide a generic form that states the general condition of the tow-fish, and provide a one year warranty meeting the same terms and conditions as the original warranty.
