Description
NA The Defense Supply Service - Washington, on behalf of Joint Staff's Office of the CIO, plans to negotiate on a sole source basis with Giga Information Group, 1730 Rhode Island Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 22102, GSA Schedule GS-35F-4900H, a subscription for a base year with two option years for information and research services that shall assist the Joint Staff in analyzing and evaluating current and emerging information technology strategies, services and products that contribute to the continued developmen t and implementation of IT services and management practices. The Contractor shall be familiar with the Joint Staff mission and the OCIO strategic plans and business processes. The subscription service shall; Provide information that supports operationa l and maintenance requirements of the Joint Staff IT infrastructure. Provide Joint Staff tailored information to OCIO management for analyzing and implementing tactics and strategies that shall maximize the OCIO's support of the Joint Staff mission. Provi de information that supports managing our enterprise infrastructure while exercising restraint over total cost of ownership. Provide informmation on current technologies to include IT architecture, IT management, IT strategies operations, IT asset manageme nt, authentication, encryption, public keys, enhanced remote access, system security, risk assessment and mitigation, application development and support, and distributed computing. Provide in depth research on specifically submitted questions covering any of the above areas. The period of performance, base year anticipated award will cover 30 September 2002 through 29 September 2003. Option Year 1, 30 September 2003 through 29 September 2004, and Option 2, 30 September 2004 through 29 September 2005. Th e Government will determine the follow-on options execution. The Government has the right to exercise the Phase II option at any time during the conduct of phase I, phase III option at anytime during the phase II option, but it is expected that phase II w ill be exercised shortly before the end of phase I, and phase III will be exercised shortly before the end of phase II. The award of a Firm Fixed Price Delivery Order is anticipated. This notice is for informational purposes only. No solicitation will b e issued. Interested parties must submit a capabilities statement delineating the ability of the party to meet the stated requirement, including detailed pricing information.
