Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation no. F26600-02-Q-B060, Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-06. This acquisition is issued restricted to small businesses. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 334119. The size standard for a small business under this NAICS code is one that is equal to or less than 1000 employees. The contractor shall provide: (24) twenty-four Compaq IPAQ Pocket PC H3970 (or equal)/48MB ROM/64MB RAM/CIR/SD/BT. The Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) must be capable of supporting real-time changes in group and personal appointment calendars, review/edit/transmit e-mail, and review/edit/transmit DII/COE standard word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation documents (using standard desktop application interfaces). PDAs should have at least 64MB of RAM and be equipped with expansion capability for both Compact Flash (CF) Type I/II and Secure Digital (SD) nonvolatile flash memory. PDAs must be capable of remote wireless linkage with each other, as well as remote linkage (via modem or network interface) with standard desktop systems equipped with available COM or USB ports. PDA should be capable of recording voice memos, and of playing and displaying multimedia files used in course curriculum. PDA must be expandable to accommodate addition of external features such as, digital camera or modem. PDA display must be high resolution color capable of supporting mapping applications and site survey tools for logistics support analysis. Additional requirements include (24) twenty-four each of the following: AC adapter, cover pack, Pocket PC rugged case, foldable keyboard, and 128MB SD expansion card. And (1) one each of the following: 64 MF CF card, serial RS-232 Cable, flyjacket, IBM Microdrive CF 1 GB, Compact flash expansion card pack plus NA, Symbol SPS 3000 Scanner, and WLAN expansion pack Information concerning the following clauses and provisions may be obtained in full at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, is also applicable. Price will be the only factor used to evaluate offers. FAR provision 52.212-3 Alt I, Offeror Representations and Certifications applies to this acquisition and must be completed and returned with an offeror?s quote. A copy of FAR 52.212-3 Alt I is attached to this notice. Destination; DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration; DFARS 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items; DFAR 252.225-7001, Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program; All contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to receive a DOD award or payment. Lack of registration in CCR will make an offeror ineligible for award. In addition to price, quotes should also include an F.O.B. point, delivery time, and prompt payment terms. Quotes are due on or before 4:30 p.m., Pacific Daylight Time, on 20 Sept 2002.
