Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to negotiate a contract for Herman Miller brand name furniture, newly manufactured, not refurbished. The successful offer shall supply and install Herman Miller integrated, panel hung, and freestanding systems furniture and other related items at 1801 Lind Avenue S.W. in Renton, Washington. IT IS THE DESIRE OF THE FAA TO SOLICIT OFFERS DIRECTLY FROM HERMAN MILLER FURNITURE DEALERS LOCATED IN OR COVERING THE SEATTLE, WASHINGTON REGION IN ORDER TO HAVE A LOCAL CONTACT FOR ONSITE FURNITURE ISSUES THAT MAY ARISE DURING DELIVERY, INSTALLATION AND RECONFIGURATION. FAA requires that all systems furniture installed must provide compatibility and interconnectivity for reconfiguration of fixtures, panels, power & data lines, receptacles, and furniture components with the existing product line, ?Action Office 2? and Passage Freestanding systems furniture manufactured by Herman Miller Inc. FAA requires local vendor to provide m! aintenance and reconfiguration of systems furniture. FAA also requires contractor to provide storage, delivery and off-loading of furniture to site. All work must be completed on or before December 13, 2002. A background check is required on all prime and subcontractor personnel working at the site. This solicitation is a full and open market competition for authorized Herman Miller Dealers serving the Seattle area. Offerors are required to provide evidence of being an authorized local Herman Miller Dealer. Issuance of the Request for Offers (Solicitation Package) to selected qualified offerors is scheduled for on or about September 13, 2002. Only authorized Herman Miller Dealers shall be sent a copy of the RFO.
