- Reference the pre-solicitation notice posted 18 MAR 02 for the draft RFP for VIMS. The Television-Audio Support Activity previously synopsized a requirement for the Armed Forces Information Service's Visual Information Management System (VIMS). That requirment is no longer being competed on the open market. The VIMS requirement will be awarded under the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Encore contracts. The Encore contracts are Indefinite Quantity Indefinite Delivery contracts that provide the full range of Information Technology (IT) solutions required by the Department of Defense (DOD). The VIMS requirement will now be competed only among the nine prime Encore vendors. Information on the Encore program can be found on the DISA website.
