- Description
- The Government requires a testing quantity of 20 each Silver/Zinc (MK21 Fuze) primary batteries. The applicable NAICS Classification is 335912 and the size standard is 1000 employees. A firm-fixed price contract is anticipated. Batteries are to be manufactured in accordance with Whittaker Power Storage Systems Drawing 47A529326N and Critical Item Development Specification S-118-41158A of 3 Dec 1987 (part II of II). Manufacture of the 20 each testing quantity batteries, acceptance testing by the contractor at origin, and submission of the Final Test Report is required within 12 months after award. Sixteen of the 20 testing quantity batteries will be subjected to destructive testing, while the remaining 4 batteries must be shipped FOB Crane, IN 47522. See numbered Note 23 (FAR Part 12 not applicable). The solicitation will be available on or about 18 Oct 2002 via the Internet at th e NSWC Crane Homepage at http://www.crane.navy.mil and will close on or about 18 Nov 2002.
