- NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are be ing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The requirement is for a Microarray/GeneChip Instrument System, which must include a gene array scanner, a fluidics station, a hybridization oven, and a computer workstation for data collection, storage, data mining, and data analysis from a single provider to ensure compatibility of system components. The system must have a one-color microarray system that is compatible with on going gene expression studies and can be directly compared to exist ing data generated with the Affymetrix GeneChip technology. The system provider must have a commercially available catalog human array (or arrays) that contain 22,000 genes on one array , commercially available catalog mouse array (or arrays) that contain more than 36,000 genes and ESTs, commercially available catalog rat array (or arrays) that contain more than 24,000 genes and ESTs and a microarray system that can run these arrays. The system must use a microarray that contains only 25-mer oligonucleoti des and not cDNAs. The system must have a microarray platform that utilizes multiple probes for perfect match and mismatch for every gene on the array. The system provider must have a website resource that has complete annotation information and links to 3rd party databases for providing gene, EST or transcript variant sequence information for all probe pairs on my microarray. This website must be compatible with the microarrays currently in use. Requisition Number W81CRF-2232-6010. DELIVERY TERMS: Delivery is FOB DESTINATION.
