Description

NA The Integrated Aviation Systems 21 Working Group (IAS21WG) intends to acquire on an other than full and open competitive basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, software modifications to the remote control interface to enable an enhanced level of operat or control functions on the Government owned Wescam Model 20TS-AATD Tri-sensor surveillance camera system. Wescam is the manufacturer of the Model 20TS camera system. A fixed price contract utilizing FAR Part 12 procedures with an award date of 10 Oct 2002 is anticipated. The intended source is Wescam, Inc., Flamborough, Ontario Canada. Wescam is the original equipment manufacturer of the Model 20TS system and the Gov ernment does not possess and cannot furnish the technical data package required to modify the software and to permit full and open competition. There will be no solicitation issued as we intend to negotiate a contract utilizing Alpha contracting procedures. This notice is not a request for proposals, however, all responsible sources may submit a proposal or quotation which will be considered by t he Agency. Proposals submitted in response to this notice are due not later than 27 September 2002, 2:00 pm local time. Proposals shall be submitted to the Aviation Applied Technology Directorate, Attn: AMSAM-RD-AA-C (Laurie Pierce), 401 Lee Blvd., Fort Eustis, VA 23604-5577.
