Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; price quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, DTCG81-02-Q-3JMD58A, is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses and provisions are available via internet address: http://www.arnet.gov/far/. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 334511, and Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Item Quantity and Description: Quantity -167 each. Description: Alarm Panel, with integrated ionization smoke and fire detector. The alarm panel must be pre-wired, ready for integration into the existing junction box and sensors, onboard the U. S. Coast Guard 41 footer boats. The design and functionality of the alarm panel must be in accordance with the statement of work (SOW), which is available upon request. Coast Guard Integrated Support Command, 4640 Urquhart Street, New Orleans, LA 70117-4698. . Submit quote no later than September 20, 2002, local time 12:00 noon. If quotes are not FOB Destination, indicate Point Of Origin and shipping/freight cost. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Provisions that applies to this RFQ: 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct 2000), 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items (Jan 1999), and 52.215-5, Facsimile Proposals (Oct 1997). The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsive, responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and offers the best value to the Government, with respect to technical merits, delivery time and price.
