- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the Northwest Indian Fisheries Commission (NIFC) for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Purpose of proposed contract is to prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS). EIS is being funded by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and the NMFS. This EIS is required to meet the U.S. District Court's action for a settlement agreement that requires an EIS be prepared to respond to Washington Trout's suit against the NMFS on its application of the 4(d) Rule Limit 6 to a joint fisheries management plan for Puget Sound chinook. EIS is being paid for by separate agencies. No other source is capable of performing this work due to nature of the work. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
