- Description
- Project consists of the demolishing and disposing of an existing two story barracks and construction of two new single story barracks at the Oak Knoll Work Center, Scott River Ranger District, Klamath National Forest, Siskiyou County, California. Some asbestos abatement work will also be required. In addition, there are optional bid items to install a septic system and pave the parking area. Price range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Contract time is 150 calendar days with an estimated start date of November 15, 2002. Solicitation will be a Request for Proposal with selection criteria clearly identified in Section M. Solicitation documents will be available for downloading from this website on or about July 26, 2002. However, due to the severity of the current fire season, funding for this project is not presently available. The Forest Service anticipates receiving additional funding before the end of the current fiscal year (9/30/2002) and this announcement is issued based on this assumption. A solicitation may be issued before funding is available, however, award of this project is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds.
